The world is bombarded by images and blog posts.  To put things in perspective, look at the amount of data generated on the internet every minute.  Snapchat users share 527,760 pieces of content, Instagram users share 46,740 photos, 456,000 tweets are sent on Twitter, users watch 4,146,600 YouTube videos, and we send 16 million text message. https://www.domo.com/learn/data-never-sleeps-5?aid=ogsm072517_1&sf100871281=1

There are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created each day at our current pace, but that pace is only accelerating with the growth of the Internet of Things. Navigating - and taming -this universe of content is a key skill for today's journalists, web authors, digital media professionals, and thought leaders and ordinary consumers.

The course is structured like a workshop or seminar: each class member is responsible for formally and informally contributing to discussions of readings, activities, and assignment. This class is a project-based course. This is not a web " web design" or " Information architecture " course, although design thinking and
