DAUGHTER HELPING FATHER
The world is bombarded by images and blog
posts. To put things in
perspective, look at the amount of data generated on the internet every
minute. Snapchat users share
527,760 pieces of content, Instagram users share 46,740 photos, 456,000 tweets
are sent on Twitter, users watch 4,146,600 YouTube videos, and we send 16
million text message.

"The amount of data we produce every day is
truly mind-boggling. There are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created each day
at our current pace, but that pace is only accelerating with the growth of the
Internet of Things. Over the last two years alone 90 percent of the data in the
world was generated." (Reported by Bernard Marr, Forbes, May 21, 2018)
Navigating - and taming -this universe of content is
a key skill for today's journalists, web authors, digital media professionals,
and thought leaders and ordinary consumers.
